burris fullfield 2 3X9X40 opinions

Looking at getting 1 of these to put on my new stevens 22-250 rifle are they good and reliable scopes. Looking on ebay can save $100. Ordered leupold rings and bases are they any good?

I'm pretty sure you need an export permit to buy optics legally from the US. which is a pain in the butt and will take a month or 2 to get.

I saw a brand new one in the EE forum here a couple days ago for around 100 off though...

Pleased with the two that I have ! Don't expect them to let me down if they are anything like the olders Burris scopes that I've owned in the past.

Burris is right up there in quality with Leupold

The one reason I can't own one is the power ring is the entire rear eyepiece. A real PITA with Butler Creek scope covers...

Optically they look good, and I like the Ballistic Plex reticle.

I bought one for my wife's '06 this year, and we are both pleased with it. It was easy to zero, bright, and clean. Cost was under $300. I believe I'd buy another.

These sell cheap on Ebay, most sellers ship to Canada. The fullfield2 models are made in the Philopenes, and have a very good reputation.

I have one that has been mounted on the 7saum I had, and currently is on my 223.

great scope, the only thing I do not like about them is the reason 280_ackley pointed out.

I just set mine up so the bolt clears the scope cover @ 4.5X,on a MDL700 it will also clear @9X.I have 2 of them,strong scopes, first 200+ through the first one was on a featherweight T3 300WM.Still going strong so I bought another one.

I as well have a few of them and have one with the bottom Mildot type retical and just love them , great scope for the money, very under rated, and a great bang for the $$
