Burris fullfield II any good?

I got a free one with my Sako A7, It is "way better" than i anticipated and the bdc is dead on out to 400 so far (far as i tested)and I see no resaon why it cant reach further with my 7mm. Now i will be replacing the scope with something higher end howeve i will be keeping if for another rifle. I would't hesitate to purchase one for a budget build.

Phillipines and Indonesia make decent optics, S Korea I can live with as well :) I'll go check one out then, see how it looks in store.
It's going on a $250 sporter so I won't be breaking the bank on optics

One came with my tikka in 7mm rem mag, the bdc is within 2" at all the ranges out to 600 yds, the scope is clear and the combo accounted for 5 animals this year at ranges from 126 yds, out to 427 yds.

Seems good enough to me.

Have one on my M14 which is notoriously punishing on optics. 500+/- rounds through it so far without a single issue. Holds its zero very, very well.

When I talked to Burris a few years ago, they told me that they had fewer warranty problems with the scopes from the Phillipines than they did with the US made ones!! John Barness recommends this model over the Leupold brand. I have had far more problems with these than Burris.

I did a lot of research on this topic and found the general opinion that the Philippine built ones are superior to the U.S. built ones in every way, I bought two and I have to agree.

The Phillipines scopes are fantastic. I've had and used some of the regular FFII and the FFII Tactical models, and for the dollar they are very bright, tough, and the adjustments are very repeatable on the Tactical model. They compare favourably with the VX3 and Vortex Viper level of scopes. Maybe just a hair under.

Under the specials till Dec 10
They had a lot in Ottawa when I got mine.
Hey thanks.Might grab 1 myself for a spare.Wish i'd known about these a couple of weeks ago.Bought a leupold vx2 off a site member for what i thought was a great deal until i looked through it.It doesn't have a suitable reticle for hunting so i'm sending it to Korth for a reticle swap.By the time i'm done,i could have bought two of the fullfields and still had a few bucks left.

I have one on a 300WSM Sako A7, and I keep thinking about replacing it, but every year it does just fine for me hunting. Good entry level hunting scope IMO.

Have had one mounted on 7mm Mag for several years...holds it zero....and compares well with Nikon(entry level), and Bushnell 3200.

The light transmission on the FFII is 95%. Brightness wise it compares with the Bushnell 4200 and shellacs the 3200 which advertises 90%. Also the ballistic drop reticle is nicer than most of the Bushnell options.

It's a decent scope. The 3-9x can be found at times for $200 new from dealers. I own three of these myself. They are a decent simple 3-9x scope. Very good value for the money.
