Hey,

I'm looking to purchase a scope. Used for hunting and target shooting at ranges no longer than 250 yards.
I've done some research and have it narrowed down to these three
Burris MTAC 1-4
Vortex Viper PST
Leupold VX-R 1.25-4

Please let me know your experience with these scopes.

Thanks in advance

The VXR is nice but once you've looked through a true 1x, you probably won't be convinced. A true 1x, like the Vortex and the Burris let you shoot as if you had a simple red dot like an Aimpoint.

The Burris line I've looked through a few times and personally I find the reticle a little chunky. It would be good for hunting up close or hitting large plates at a distance but I think it would be fairly difficult to make "precision" shots beyond 100m. The glass is excellent, on par with the Vortex.

The Vortex is on my buy list, I just haven't gotten around to getting one yet. I have the PST 4-16 and I think it is excellent.
