Burris Optics


I have a couple of Burris scopes. My other scopes are Leupold. I like all of them. Burris is excellent quality.
 
I just got the 2.5X Fullfield II, it looks real good but I haven't used it yet. It will be going on a deer rifle for short/med ranges.

I have a 3-9X Fullfield II that came on a rifle I picked up a few months ago. All my hunting rifles wear Leupolds,three 3-9X VariX-II's, a couple 2.5-8X's and a 3.5-10 VariX-III's.......last time out to the range I only took two rifles, one with a 3-9 Leo and the other with the Burris....after shooting both rifles alternately for a few groups I swore the Burris was clearer and brighter...I had another shooter look thru both and he came away with the same opinion.....they are good...they are way ahead of an Elite 3000 3-9.....never had an Elite 3200 to compare with...
 
I have a Burris Full Field II 3-9X40 with the ballistic plex reticle. It is the ONE piece of kit that I will never part with. Very excellent edge to edge clarity, holds the zero with out question, and that reticle is awesome. I had an Elite 3200 3-9X40, and it was an okay scope, but no where near the Burris. As far as I am concerned, it is the best value scope out there for the money.
 
I have a Signature Select 3-10 x 40mm with ballistic plex, bought it off ebay. It is easily superior to the B&L Elite 4200 it replaced in every conceivable way. The only other scope I use on a consistent basis is a Ziess Conquest, ebay as well, its even better.

When it comes to my next scope it will probably be another Burris, most likely the Fullfield II.
 
I have a gloss blue Burris Fullfield 6-18 AO scope on Rem 700 heavy barrel rifle in .223 I picked up late last year. Rifle is very accurate. The scope works well with it, too. Good combo, IMHO. I'd get another Burris based on the performance of this one: :D

that's disgustingly accurrate for factory ammo :shock:

I'll have to try some of that stuff....

is that a "guntech" beadblast job on that barrel :?: :wink:

That Winchester 'whitebox' 45 gr HP .223 works great in both Rem rifles I have. Heavy barrel [as above] and a sporter weight barrel rifle... :shock:

Yeah, and that rifle was done by our very own "guntech"... [he does great work! :wink: 8) ]
 
I currently own 3 of the original Burris Fullfield Scopes and have nothing bad to say about them. I have a straight 4X on my .338 and a straight 6X on my .30-06, plus a 4X12 variable with fine cross hair on my .222. The 4X is now almost 25 years old.... they seem to be fairly good quality.

as well. I'm gonna buy the fullfeild II... hope the wife lets me :?
 
I have a FullField II 3-9x40mm w/ Ballistic Plex reticle on my m700 223


it's a nice scope, I really like the BP reticle, SURE DOES WORK! :D


these scopes go for $200-450 depends if its retail or EBay

you put a 3-9x40 on slug guns and front stuffers? :shock:

you realize the Ballistic Plex really truly only works when set at 9x right? That's not a whole lot of field of view when hunting brush and close range with a 12 gauge. :D I'm pretty sure you can keep the BP set at say, 5x, and work out the drops in the field for the different range bars on the reticle... :?: :idea:
 
I picked up a used Fullfield II 3-9x from Russells for $250. They're way better than that price would make you think. I thik it's every bit as good as my brother's 3.5-10x Leupold. Certainly as clear as any scope I own. They are a touch heavier though but I don't think that's a bad thing.

That depends on the recoil energy of the gun you fire. The heavier a scope is, the more prone it is to slippage. Inertia dictates so.

Just remember: "In this house, we obey the laws of Thermodynamics!" :D(little simpsons reference ;))
 
I have a nice Burris signature series, 3-9x40. It is quite a nice scope. (though I still want a zeiss 3-12x56 one day)

The glass is excellent and it has that posi-lock feature. It will be sitting on my 338 as soon as it gets back from Colorado.

The service at Burris is excellent. They will take my scope (i am not original owner), clean it inside and out, install a heavy duplex reticle and it will be nitrogen purged again, thus it will be like new. All for $50 US.

The only reason I have to pay anything is because I want the recticle changed.

A good company in my opinion.
