I put Burris 3-9X40 with the Ballistic Plex on a Sluggun and was so impressed i bought another one for the M/L

you put a 3-9x40 on slug guns and front stuffers?

you realize the Ballistic Plex really truly only works when set at 9x right? That's not a whole lot of field of view when hunting brush and close range with a 12 gauge. I'm pretty sure you can keep the BP set at say, 5x, and work out the drops in the field for the different range bars on the reticle...
I had a 2-7 Luepold on my Sluggun last year... and I have used a 5-15 Elite and a 4-12 VXII on the Encore... we get some long shooting (200+yds) in low light conditions  .
I spanked two deer at 180 and 185 yards with the M/L last season... bean fields  ... I have done some testing with the ballistic plex reticle on the Burris with both the Sluggun and the M/L.... the multiple reticles are simply awesome for long range shooting. 8)
I find the Burris has even more eye relief than the Leupold... the ability to cut glare is better in the Burris but the low light ability of the Leupolds is outstanding...

I have a nice Burris signature series, 3-9x40. It is quite a nice scope. (though I still want a zeiss 3-12x56 one day)

The glass is excellent and it has that posi-lock feature. It will be sitting on my 338 as soon as it gets back from Colorado.

The service at Burris is excellent. They will take my scope (i am not original owner), clean it inside and out, install a heavy duplex reticle and it will be nitrogen purged again, thus it will be like new. All for $50 US.

The only reason I have to pay anything is because I want the recticle changed.

A good company in my opinion.

Cheers,

Alex
Hey, Olek. Where did you send the Burris? Did it have to fo to the U.S.? How long was it gone? Thanks!

A few weeks...

To Colorado. (iirc)

The service is nice and quick. Free shipping up to Canada.

only bad thing is the stupid eye piece that rotates with the power adjustment. makes life hell when using Butler Creek scope covers.

I have a 3x9x40 Fullfield II on my T/C Omega .50. Very bright clear optics with lots of eye relief. Brighter than my new 3x9x40 3200 Elite. Ballistic Plex reticle is a bit fine for low light shooting. But a good feature nevertheless. IMHO a good value for your money.
