I just got a bushnell ar223 optic off the ee and the rings that came with it are to low for my diamond head buis. I was wondering if the burris pepr scope mount will be high enough for the scope to clear the buis? Any suggestions?

Don't waste your time. Those optics aren't true 1x so you will never get a clearly focused front sight to allow you to cowitness your BUIS. Not to mention, the eye relief is short so either your stock will be almost collapsed to the shortest length just so your scope can be ahead of the rear BUIS or your optic will float over your rear BUIS where you can't flip it up.

Your only other option if you do want to use BUIS is to get offset rail mounts for them or offset sights.

Agree. BUIS are useless with this style of optic unless you run 45 degree offsets

I use the Burris Pepr mount and a Bushnell AR 223 1-4 scope. it co witnesses ok, not perfectly, with the front sight but its ok to know if your sights or scope are out of zero.

No, the rear BUIS will not pop up with the scope on, but they are backups, at least in my opinion.
