I tried a set of low rings on my T97, but the scope BARELY clears them when mounted forward without offset. I need a bit more rise if I use a base with a 2" forward offset and that's the only way I can get a normal sized scope to work..

How much rise does a PEPR give? Thanks in advance for the info, guys.

The Burris PEPR is the same height as the Burris Extra High rings at 1"

Just curious how cheek weld is with the rail mounted optics as seen in your picture? I would think the PEPR would make it quite high.

Will be terrible. Already is bad enough and I have to use a chin weld, but with how far back the scope is, I also have to crane it to get a sight picture. Ordered an el-cheapo China mount for $20 shipped to test it out. Will also do some experimenting with Bondo and All Round to see if I can ghetto a cheek riser that will give me a good sight picture. At least now I know these mounts are high enough to resolve any ocular clearance issues. With this setup, I'm raping the purpose behind this rifle (light-weight, maneuverable carbine), but I really wanna reach out a bit with it, especially with the 19" barrel and good accuracy reports.

Well I hope it works out for you and Ill be interested to see some range reports over the next few months. Im a bit of Bullpup collector myself. I wasn't going to purchase a T97 but now Im considering it.

I thought the PEPR was 1.5" on the same plane as AR sights? My ADM was 1.5" and same plane with Troy BUIS. At any rate it'll still be too high. Search for weaver/picatinny cantilever rings to see if there are lower options available, there should be. If not I think ADM makes some lower offset mounts but they'll run you about $200 after tax + shipping.

UGHHHHH 1.5" would be WAY too high.. Even with low rings directly on the rail, I can't get a proper cheek weld from a comfortable shooting position so I gotta shift the rifle and crane the neck. I'll need a couple of millimeters above most low ring models, but my main purpose is to go 2" forward. Then I can look into a cheekpiece. Will experiment with chopping board and velcro straps just to get the feel of it assuming I can clear the ejection port. If it works, might look into something made of Kydex.
