So picked up an rt6 for my AR and trying to understand the reticle. I can probably figure a lot out with research but to get me started:

1. What does the #4 mean in the lower right? Always there, never changes.
2. The elevation marks are based on .223 zeroed at 100 yds, so they wouldn’t be that useful for higher (or lower) caliber rifles? I’m guessing standard 55gr?
3. To be clear, 500 yd on 223 should be 9.5 moa of drop from a 100 yd zero?

1. The "4" is simply there to indicate the 400 yard aiming tick
2. Usefulness would depend on the calibre and it's' ballistic similarity to 5.56mm/.223 cal ammo. Presumably, as 55 gr ammo is still the most common fodder.
3. Correct, using (presumably) 55 gr 5.5mm/,223 cal ammo

BTW you made a great choice! The RT6 is a terrific 1-6x optic for the money!
