Been Using Burris for about 20yrs or so now with no complaints. My question, do they still make a good scope?I don`t need anything fancy just a quality scope that holds its zero with hard use. like a fixed 6x or 3x9 x40mm.

who are the cdn dealers? Looking for a sunshade for an Mtac, which seems like a decent scope so far. It is on my wife's 10FCP. I find the mildots a bit thick for me, but she is Ok with them.

I currently use a cullfiels II 2x7 and am happy with the durability and clarity. I will be upgrading to a fullfield II 3x9x40

I mounted a Fullfield E1 last year.

I was looking for a "half decent" hunting scope in the 300-400 dollar range. I already shoot a (recent) Redfield on another rifle, am very happy with it, but decided to shop the brands before buying another one, which was my intention.

I compared the Bushnell (Elite), Nikon (Prostaff 5), Leupold (VX-1 and Rifleman) and the Fullfield E1.

The clarity on the Burris was miles ahead of the others listed. That combined with the no question lifetime warranty, even if you drop it and break it yourself, tipped the scales.

I would buy another without hesitation and would opt for Fullfield E1 over the Fullfield II or the Droptine line if you have the budget for it. In many cases it gets kinda tough for guys like me to see the difference between a $300 scope, a 600 buck one and a 1000 dollar scope. At least I don't see enough of a difference to chuck double or triple the price. But in this case there was a significant improvement in the clarity between those going in the 150-200 range, making it seem worth it "for me" to drop the extra hundred bucks.

I have an MTAC and it has been flawless for the last two plus years. It has an easy life on an AR though, no rough and tumble hunting...

I've had a few, ended up dropping them for other scopes. They are clear enough, but I didn't find the brightness to be on par with USA made Redfield (Revolution line), Nikon, or the Japanese Bushnell's (Elite).
I also found the crosshairs too thick for my liking. If you are going to spend $300, the best budget scopes you can get are the Japanese made Elite 3-9x40 for $240 from these guys h ttp://scopesandammo.com/storefront/product_info.php/bushnell-elite-9x40-multi-reticle-p-680
Or the US made Redfield from any of the big box stores.

I have a set of burris binos that have served me well for years ,,were would I send them to get them tuned up ,thy were in my truck when it got stolen and thy layed in the swamp for a while and got banged around pretty good .I would like to send them in for some repairs, even if it is not covered under warranty. who looks after there stuff in Canada ... Dutch

Stoeger Canada is the distributor for Burris Optics in Canada.

I would start with them for warranty or repair info.

Got a Old 3-9 mini, Timberline, FF2, E1, and a C4. There my go to it seems in the low/value priced category for me, they also have been revamping a bit and have quite a few newer models in all the price ranges on the website that are worth a look for sure.
