the intended market for these is military, police, home defense.
The video says they are intended for certain pistols but there is actualy an attachment for weaver typre rail so it will fit on anything.

I bought one of these on a whim thinking they would be great for my coyote hunts. much of the areas i hunt are thick grass and bush so operating a hand held video camera is a little tedious. The shotcam has a 3.2Mp video camera that will operate for 1hr if the light and laser are off. which is more than enough time for several coyote hunts. I might go test it out later today with my 300wsm:D

These are a pretty cool little unit that I feel have endless amounts of hunting uses.
Turkey, bear, moose, wild pig( I had a co-worker go on a hunt that said if he had one of these on his rifle he would of paid a furtune for the video footage, very intense to say the least), gopher, raccoon(especially those that can hunt them at night), airsoft matches, you get the point, endless.

The software is a bit tricky to use on windows vista though.

Does anyone else have one of these maybe give me some pointers on how to load video up? I have windows vista:puke:

I've been looking for something like this too.. The main problem with that is the 3.2 mp camera. That's honestly not a lot. Your coyotee hunts would turn out disapointing. Be better for pheasent or upland bird though, something close. There are a lot of helmet and head cameras though. And they have come down a lot in price, you'd be much happier with one of those

not sure you are going to get better quality with a helmet cam. plus you would need to wear the helmet?? that wouldn't be fun for hunting.
I have figured out how to upload the video's and it's not bad quality.
most of my coyote hunts are up close and personal. so should be fun. just need a barrel mount. but tape works for now;)

I bought a Contour HD...1080p, 170 degree wide angle, and has tons of different mounts. I have what is usually the stick-on helmet mount, but I stuck it on the side of my shotgun to film some duck hunts this year.

You can pick them up on ebay for less than $150 NIB.
