I've been toying with the idea of buying a speed bead for my shotgun. the sales rep didn't have any good knowledge of them. Looking for feedback on how they perform and if they are worth the money. thanks:cheers:

i asked something along the same line and didn't get any replies. if you find out anything, be sure to let me know!

I've also been looking for reviews or thoughts on them. They look like a pretty cool product. I was hoping to use one to help train my eye for shooting ducks, geese and clays.

I have trouble keeping my eye low enough right now.

I purchased one for my Beretta Xtrema 2, have not had a chance to really try it out yet, however the few shots I took were all dead on, turned it off, and tried using it with out the red dot, no issues there either as I could still see my brass bead. I have to get out to the range to try it with clays and see if it hinders my ability to hit them, or will it improve my hit to miss ratio.....

I got mine from LeBarons, they typically will no longer stock them, you need to make an order and they will get it in for you

I like the way it mounts to the shotgun, ti made no change (for me) to the fit or LOP as far as I am concerned, and it's nice and snug, and almost looks like it should have always been on the shotgun

if there is any interest I can take a few pictures and post them

I have an 870 right now but I'm going to purchase the Extrema 2 in the spring for next seasons ducks and geese. I was hoping the sight would help train me to keep my face down on the stock.

Only thing, I wish they sold separate brackets for the sight. Then if you change guns, you can just purchase a new mounting bracket instead of a whole new sight.

Perhaps you should look at this instead

http://www.burrisoptics.com/fastfire.html

similar, but can be used for many applications

Have one on my Xtrema II....will never have another gun without it :) Not a single complaint.

For those suggesting the FastFire, not the same deal....the Speedbead is designed to sit coplanar with the rib/bead, the FF sits too high.

My advice? Order one!

thanks for the replies. I want to mount it on an Beretta extrema also. Just for ducks and geese. I also have a problem keeping my head down. I will buy from Lebaron. I have a membership card so I save 10%. Next years purchase. I'm saving for an AR type. Not sure wich one yet. but that's a whole different ball game.
