Bushings for bushing dies interchangeable?

I read somewhere that with bushing dies the bushings are interchangeable between the manufacturers.

That is a 308 win bushing die could use a bushing made by Forster or Whidden etc
Any guys here have experience with interchanging bushings?

Please note: Redding, RCBS, Hornady and Wilson Bushings are interchangeable. Forster Bushings are unique and will only work in Forster bushing dies

Whiddens will use there own bushings along with Redding and Wilson.

The key is to make sure that the bushing does have the ever so slight ability to move inside the die. You do not want it to be held solidly in place.

Whidden's website in their FAQ's says: "Whidden Gunworks bushing dies will accept Whidden Gunworks, Redding and Wilson bushings".

Forster bushing are unique to their die.
Wilson,Widden, Redding are compatibles.
I own all of those.

Do not know for RCBS and Hornady.
In any case, better to use the bushing that goes into the same brand die.
