I don't/haven't really followed the development of this rifle, so hence the post. Is this version "new" and unveiled at this years SHOT show? . If not are there any of these in Cdn?
I'm guessing that this is the Remington Defense version?

Where the heck did you see that? I spent time in the dingy bushmaster corner and the remington defense booth. Never spotted it!

that is a bushmaster version (remington has a different lower/handgurad) also it has the original prototype gasblock with the 10.5 barrel that was promised but never delivered, pretty sure this pic is from 2011

Yea it's an internet pic, I saw the gun on Shooting USA while they were filming the Remington Defense 3 gun match at Spartan tactical.

Looks like it's probably an old pic, as it still has the v1 brass deflector.

No other length factory barrel have been released, neither here or in the States. There is a gunsmith named Marvin Pitts that does work for American customers. He has built his own gas system for the ACR that allows him to make and sell 10.5" barrel kits. I have a 12.5" barrel on my ACR, and honestly I don't think I would go shorter. It balances pretty much perfectly now. Also fits properly length-wise in the basic handguard, which is the MUCH better hanguard vs. the enhanced.
