I can not find much info on the net about this rifle and the info i have found most say its junk.I have 2 and have never had a single problem in 5000 rounds(4000 through my daughters and 1000 through mine) and seem to have good accuracy out to 100 yards.Last weekend i was out with some friends who also have 9mm Ar's(one colt and one RRA)and over the course of about 500 rounds using the same ammo they both had FTE's multiple times and are no more accurate than my Carbon15's.Is the bad rep because my rifles are made of plastic? My buddies gave me a hard time on the ride out to the range about buying another one but it was a quiet ride home after mine ran 500 rounds flawlessly.Anyone have any thoughts on my these get a bad rep?Other than the pivot pin breaking if the upper is dropped open i dont see any issues.

bushmaster

I've had one for a couple years now and not any FTF or FTE yet. only issue I had was the upper reciever cracked in thread area for barrel nut...but that was easy to fix, New Colt reciever-- used my existing bolt no prob and a new 7.5 barrel. It runs like a champ now.Have not heard of any break the lower yet but any things possible

Carbon fiber is NOT plastic! Completely different material and properties. They make jet fighter wings out of carbon fiber-epoxy composites! Bushmaster took over another company's manufacturing techniques using carbon-fiber epoxy composites and as far as I know they may had some early problems with the new technology for them but the last few years they seem to have fixed the problems.

crack

Mine was cracked in the threads and would not have even known unless I was changing the barrel.went from 16" down to 10.5 then down to 7.5"
I had maybe a 1000 rds through it,as for warranty...pffft... useless as they claimed it did not fail yet(barrel didn't blow off in my hand). i love this one but will not buy another Bushmaster product just out of spite.Same goes for ACR,they can keep it
