so whats the deal with the M4A3.
are these just considered restricted in canada if they just have the fire/safe modes.

So, if i wanted a M4A3 I could bring one into canada via the proper red tape and it would be allowed? i know its restricted. but m4a3 are
not prohibs- right?

The Bushmaster M4 is a semi-auto variant of the military version. A3 means it has a removable carry handle so you can mount optics.
So it's legal in Canada as a restricted firearm and can only be loaded and fired at an approved range.
There are many importers at the top of the page you could try and get one from but if you wanted to do the red-tape thing you could.
PS Barrels under 16" can not be exported from the US I believe. You're better off finding one here AFIK.

I'm sure you meant "buy". :D Yeah now that the dollar is close it may be worth it but let us know in six months if you get your rifle by then.
Personally I would buy here unless it was something I couldn't get.
