new to the forum and currently awaiting my PAL. Just a question, I love the look of the ar-15 and would love to get one when my licence arives.

My question is: Does bushmaster make any rimfire semi-auto rifles? similar to the ar-15

I have heard rumors of modification

thnkx 4 the info, jsp

You can buy .22LR conversions for AR-15's and there is even a company showing off it's newly developed .17hmr conversion. The "problem" is that AR-15 and their variants are restricted firearms so you need your RPAL and you can only shoot it at an approved range.

As far as I know, bushmaster does not make a rimfire that looks like an AR-15. However, if they did, they would probably use AR-15 parts and then it would be considered a variant of an AR-15 and be classed as a restricted rifle anyway.

They are expensive to build, but using a Nordic stock you can make a Ruger 10-22 look AR'ish.

so the ar-15 is a restricted weapon, does bushmaster make any non restricted rifles that can be converted into .22lr

so where how do i get more info on that project?....

Search Nordic, or krinker here. There is a huge amount of knowledge on CGN about them.
I have been looking at building up an older 10/22 something like Canfire's, just don't seem to have the buck$...

Not sure about Canadian suppliers, but Brownells has most of the stuff.
Good luck on your project.

Bushmaster Carbon 15 22LR is what you speak of. However I think you'd be better off with a regular AR lower and a 22 upper from Questar or a .223 upper with a 22LR conversion kit.
