Bushmaster spotting scopes on sale for 39.99

Same, I bought it for 50% off. I can't believe there is a guy on EE selling it used for $100 including shipping.
He also clams that Bushnell makes the Bushmaster. Is this true?
 
Is it true that he claims Bushnell makes them? I believe you. Does Bushnell make them? No, Bushnell doesn't even make Bushnells. They get various factories in China, The Phillipines, Korea, Japan to make stuff for them. The same factories will make stuff for other customers, often using all or some of the same components, at various levels of quality specified by the customers, depending on the price the customer is willing to pay. Then Bushnell and others market them.

So, whoever is buying, importing and distributing these is charging C.Tire so little for them that C.Tire, after all their costs, can still make some profit at $39.99. Guess how much (how little) money the factory had to buy quality glass and precision machinery and train and motivate workers to assemble the goods?
 
So what is an OK alternative at a cheap price? I have always wanted one but I have better things to spend $4-800+ on than a spotting scope (ammo, more guns etc...). What would people recommend for a cheap spotting scope to work out to 200meters or so?

a 20 power scope at a minimum, then you can see your holes on the target with the rifle you shot said holes................

I can see 223 holes at 500 yards providing that the center of the target is not completely black.......but it can be challenge to see smaller holes in a black target no matter what the distance is. For 4-800 bucks spent on a spotting scope I think more people should look into the wireless camera setups so that you can really see whats going on, I use mine out to 600 frequently and on days of high mirage its the only thing that really works well..........
