I have the opportunity to own either a matched Bushmaster stripped upper and lower set or a Aero Precision stripped upper and lower set. I can only keep one set. What one would you guys get. Both sets are brand new un-molested. They are both older sets. Bushmaster set is from Windem, Maine and the Aero set has the old jet logo and the U.S. flag etched on flattop upper.
Im looking down the road in case I ever have to sell or trade as complete rifle. Id like the one that might retain its value down the road. I have access to all the other nessesary parts to complete a full build on one rifle.

I would keep the Bushmaster set , no question. The Windham years Bushmaster products were/are just about some of best quality AR Lowers/Uppers. This high quality continues with Windham Weaponry AR-15's (the people who were the original Bushmaster team).

the areo upper i got from CTCS doesnt have a flag on it but the one in their ad does. it actually has no markings on it except a key hole type stamp.

my areo upper/lower combo is a very tight fit, im happy with it.

The BM rifle I have has the same forge marks as well...keyhole is Cerro Forge marking.

Both will be good quality and will carry the same value if you sell them later.

I have two Aero lowers, both offered very good fitment when being assembled and they fit tightly to the LMT uppers I am using.

I have read/heard that Aero lowers are desireable to target shooters, due to tight machining tolerances, but I can't confirm this.

Is there anyway to to verify who makes the uppers? I was expecting the flag on it. When I got it I did a quick search and compaired it to one on their website and the areo site doesnt show the flag either(or it didnt a couple months ago anyway)
brownells has their uppers now for under $100...I think they can ship them here too.

The Aero upper and lower set were purchased as a pair from one of our sponsors ArmsEast maybe 3years ago. And it does have the Yank flag on the flat top just in front of charging handle slot.
