This is available at Cabela's with 3 MOA mini red dot for $749.99 (reduced from $1029.99). I've been leaning strongly to the M&P 15 Sport II, no red dot available a few places for around $649.

Thoughts/suggestions?

Both just another basically AR.

If the price is the same, get the bushmaster. The optic is Chinese - but saves you a couple bucks until something decent comes along.

Basic foreends seem to be getting phased out for Mlok or railed free float ones. If you plan on doing that soon enough probably more cost effective to go with a TNA mystery box gun.

I just bought a Ruger AR-556 from a site sponsor for $699.

Having known about this sale I would have strongly considered it. I really like the low profile gas block and optic included. Bushmasters just seem to be really light as well.

Only drawback is you’re dealing with Cabelas. Long drive for me, and you’d have to bring a trigger lock and hardcase when you go to pick it up. I hate waiting for shipping, prefer to just drive 20 min to my LGS and walk out of the store with my purchases.

My QRC has been a decent rifle (I bought it without the optic) with no problems for about 1000 rounds now.

For that price, I don't think the OP can go wrong.

That's a $30 red dot sitting on top. Trust me I know. I've bought many of them off Amazon and Ebay. The quick release its mounted on is worth more than the optic lol.

Makes sense. The optic goes with the rifle in this case.

It's not a bad deal. Check out the reviews on buds gun shop (US) 60 reviews 4.7 out of 5. This deal comes and goes every now and then on Cabelas so don't feel like you have to make a life or death decision. It would be an even better in store pickup deal since they will charge probably $50+ for a hard case and lock per their shipping policy. $750 is close to the US price when converted.
