Bushnell 3-9 x 40 Savage takeoffs- good deal?

This is the way I buy my winter rims, so maybe it should apply to my firearms too.

Frontier Firearms is advertising these takeoffs for 69.99 with rings- good deal?

I've fired 45 rounds with the one that came on my 308 package gun looking for loads. It was on paper from the first shot and the 5 shot groups were ranging from 1.1 to 1.4 inch @ 100. Not a recommendation for long term reliability but my initial impression is that they are not a bad scope.

I've stuck an elite 4200 and burris rings on it now because I bought the gun for that scope.

EDIT; "not a bad scope" is a colloquialism for its OK.

you don't get much for $70 these days,especially with rings.
probably don't want to top a .375 with it tho...

These are promotional scopes, but should be fine, as long as your expectations are reasonable.
