Looking at getting new scope for a .375H&H I'm getting on saturday. Would there be a noticeable difference between these 2 scopes. Is the 4200 worth the extra hundred bucks of so? Looking at getting a 3-9X40mm just a regular Multi-X reticle. Or is the DOA 600 reticle that much better?

I really like the Nikon line but I had a 4200 3-9X40 (not a "real" 4200 - more like a 3200 / 4200 cross-over) standing in my cabinet and it fills the purpose very decently on my .358 NM, wich is somewhat very close to your 375 H&H.
Just make sure the rings and base(s) are tight enough.

Nothing wrong with the bushnell elites, i can tell you the 3200 has the steel tube and the 4200 is aluminum.

Quality wise both are good and when i say good i mean as good as leaupold if not better.

Other than a NF NXS on my TRG, I have Elite series scopes on most of my rifles. I find the 4200 series to be a bit better (brighter/sharper) than the 3200 series but not by much. I can also advise that I personally see no difference between the 4200 and 6500 series ( I have a 6500 that cost me $1000 and wish I had bought another 4200 for $700 ! ). For target shooting I recommend the 4200 6x24x50 Tactical, for hunting the 4200 3x9x40 and for the M14/AR stuff I find you have to go a long way to beat the 3200 10x Tactical.

Are the Elites as good as my NF ? No, plan and simple they ain't but, for my eyes, the 4200's are as good as any Leupold I have looked through (and, yes, I have a Mk4 LR).

IMHO, Bushnell Elites are highly underrated.

4200 series are rated at 95% light transmission, while the 3200s are a tad less, roughly about 91% to 92%. Not a big difference that most would actually be able to detect.

95% transmission is, scientifically speaking, about as good as it possibly gets for variable scopes...regardless of marketing claims.

I read recently that Wholesale Sports has a sale on the 3200 3x9x40s, less than $200. Might be worth checking out. For the money, probably doesn't get any better. Have owned a number of the Elite 3000 series scopes, no complaints!

If I recall correctly, Bushnell's endurance/shock testing involves 1000 rounds on a .375 Ouch & Ouch.

There both great I've used 3200's for years and they are awsome and lighter.
375 you may want to research eye relief. Just incase you havent' already. Bushnell is not the best for that. It dont' take much to get cut with a 375.

both are good - get the one you can afford.
Watch the eye relief on the 375 or you will get scope eye and you wont like it much.....BTDTGTTS
