I don't have it with the illuminated dot, but I do have the 2.5-10x40 model and am very happy with it. It is comparrible to some of the higher end leupolds, IMHO. Very good scope overall, and for the money

So far I am really pleased with it. I leave the dot illuminated when ever I am hunting. It doesn't freeze up (but it wasn't that cold). The thing that impresses me the most is how fast you can pin point the dot on the vitals. Red really stands out on brown!
