Hi

I was wondering if anybody has used this scope and how the it performed and its quaility. Plan is to install it a 7mm mag rifle.
thanks

I have a 2.5 x 16 x 42 6500 30mm tube mil dot reticle, presently on a Ruger 338 WM, I have had it for a few years and it's my favorite scope.

I have a 3200 Elite and like it. The rainguard is a great feature. I'm looking for a new scope for a sheep hunt and the only issue I have with the Elite 6500 is that they are a bit on the heavy side at 17.3 oz.

I have one on a CZ452 22LR. Quite a good scope, good clarity, side focus is nice. The 4.5-30 gets to be quite large but the 2.5-16 is reasonable. The scope would work well on a hunting rig where you could expect both very short range targets (dense bush) or longer range targets.

This is actually one of the few scopes I have that I have not swapped over to a Nightforce, though putting a NF on a 22LR is a bit hard to justify.

i know some sheep hunters that are using that rig on a Tikka T3 without problems.

honestly if you loose one pound on your own body the extra weight of the scope wont be noticeable.

yeah, you are probably right. I was just looking at the fact that adding 1/4 lb to a scope is quite a bit when you are trying to keep the weight down for mountain hunting. The 16 power would would nice if you had to make a long shot.

I have the 6500 2.5-16x44 with mildot reticle (newer one with argon gas) and it is very clear and bright. The turrets are great and I am very happy with it so far.
I had originally bought it for my RFB but ended up switching things around and now it's on my Savage LRH 6.5-284 and the RFB got my Burris 4-12 laser rangefinder scope.
The 6500 series seem to be really good quality and I'm glad I bought mine.
