Are these new and if not, anyone knows who carries 'em and cost and if they're crap? I tried looking them up but can't find any info or reviews.

Kombayotch did a shot show review on this optic. Not a lot of info, but, they're new, and entry level priced. It might be a bit before we see them, but, I suspect we'll see them in the spring... Not a bad entry level choice.

Agreed! Hopefully it's just silk screened on and I can wipe it off with acetone if I pick one up. :p

Oh? Cool, I'll go look that up. I just noticed that it's not illuminated, not sure if that's a big minus or not.

So depending on price up here, it may be a good option for those wanting to try an scope on an AR platform without dropping alot of cash.

$299 projected USD, sub $400 CAD maybe?

I was looking at the Burris M-TAC 1-4, which is $450 at P&D.
 
Okay, these scopes have hit the shelves in the US back in September and it's not difficult to find a US retailer that has them in stock right now. Any idea when these will hit the shelves in Canada?

Owned one. Not that new if you know how to get them. Sold it as it was surplus to my needs. Clear glass, great turrets, with a very simply easy to use reticle. The "Nascar" style decals are simple stickers and easy to remove. Non illuminated but at the price point a very solid optic.
 
I guess we will see how well they hold up, little disappointed with the made in China part. I still don't think they can produce good optics.
 
Higginson's had them in their price list quite a while ago but I haven't seen one in person yet. Also, the throw down pcl model has an illuminated reticle different from the non-pcl which is non illuminated and uses a duplex reticle with elevation holdovers. Higginsons list price for the non-pcl is $188 CDN. I'm thinking about trying one but I wouldn't expect a whole lot out of it. It will probably either have great glass but break easy/have some major factory defects or it will have ok glass and not break constantly like a Vortex. Time will tell.
 
For a $400 range AR scope I suggest the Hi-Lux CMR 1-4x24. I had the 223 reticle version and traded it for a 7.62 model to put on my 300 Blackout. Great reticle, great turrets with zero-stop, illuminated, nice clear glass.
I have no complaints with them.

There's also the Millet DMS 1-4x24 which is a nice unit when mounted in the Burris PEPR mount. You still have a very visible reticle even with the illumination off (Eotech-style donut/dot and a German No4 style reticle). They're around $300.
 
I bought one in the US, it was $179 at Walmart. It was ok, held zero but not great glass. Worked well enough for paper to 100 yards and gongs to 300. I had no complaints at all for the price.
