hey guys, wondering if anyone here can help me out.

i just got a bushnell banner 6-18x50 mounted on my marlin xt22vr. i was sighting it in today at around 50 yards. im shooting about 6-8" low at 50 yards with the elevation adjustment maxed, im using federal blue box ammo, 40 gr 1240fps. i tried this ammo with my old 4x scope and it zeros fine, i can actually adjust well over the target if i wanted to.

i used brand new top mount brackets from weaver, and warne high profile 1" rings. any help would be appreciated as im entered in the simcoe area rimfire comp tomorrow.

thanks in advance!

i took off all the mounting hardware and measured them. they're all identical. i went and got some burris zee rings ( thanks epps! ) and have remounted the scope. the other problem i think is this bushnell banner only has 40 moa of adjustment.... i think i need to spend some coin down the road on something with a bit more adjustment in it

I think you are correct there.

I have a 6500 elite 6-30x 50mm That sat on a sako P94 finnfire BR and you could see the fleas on the little buggers across a field, and hit them, that gun shot Fed bulk pack ammo great, for some reason

On a related note, I picked up a barely used 7mm Vanguard the owner bought new and put an Elite 4200 6-24x40 that only has 26" of adjustment. He was so psssd that he could not get it zeroed he sold it for less then the scope sells for...

well that worked, now have over 30 inches of height adjustment
^^^
, So what did you change scope?
Or change the mount/ rings?

Soooo? the Z rings gave you +30 inches elevation??

yes, i left the scope maxed, where i limited out before. then shot at the centre of my target again. it was 30 inches high at 50 yards. was able to wind the scope down. after todays mini comp, which was fantastic btw and highly recommend it to others!, i realized that this scope isnt really going to work for me at the next event. still had a blast and learned alot. time for something with moa markings within the reticle.
