Just wondering if anyone on here has tried one these on a slug gun?I had a banner with the 3" eye relief on my mossberg 12 guage cantilever barrel and tried it out yesterday for the 1st time.I knew right well it didnt have enough and 1 st shot,WHACK right on the brow.Right now money is a little tight so I thought about trying this other banner with more eye relielf and upgradeing once I get back work.

Had one on my 870 and it worked like a charm for the first 40 shots then it crapped out. Bushnell replaced it but could not put me in front of the deer I missed completely because of it (and yes the scope was the issue). I would not put it on any gun more powerful then a .22. Remember one thing, it sometimes costs you more to be cheap, as in you get what you pay for.

I had 2,5x20mm Simmons shotgun scope with 6" ER on My Win88 in 358Win for about 15 years or so. It stood up to well over 300 shots of heavy recoil some with 250gr Hornady RNIL close to 2400fps with no problem.

I think op is referring to a bushnell banner.

Yes, I know. The only thing I wanted to point out is that other, better than Bushnell optical companies are out there. Burris for instance has line of compact low powered scopes with up to 5" ER for instance as some older Weavers and Redfields as well. Never mind overpriced european stuf, US and Japan made optics are as good and proverb "pay once cry once" applies.

My old Bushnell 6" eye relief scope lasted through several hundred slug rounds with no problem, I only took it off because I got bored with it.
