Does anyone have any excperince with this scope . I know that its not a really good scope , but im thinking of getting a stevens 200 in .223 and putting one of these on as a Poor SOB long range intro rig. Realisticly even if i can make it to 400 yards i'll be happy. This would be for killing paper and metal only

Not a terrible scope, but even the 6-18 I had was blurry at the upper levels.

Worked alright for awhile, but you will eventually buy better glass, and upgrade the gun or mod it anyways, so why buy twice.

Spend on a good scope and you can use it for a long time.

far better than any other scope in that price range, that I've tried (like the Tasco). Still, that's hardly anything to brag about

I have one on my 6.5x55 and it is fine. Even at max magnification and near dusk it still provides a clear picture.

Can it be compared to scopes costing twice as much? NO. You do get what you pay for. But for the price it is a decent scope.

Not all of us can afford 600 dollar scopes for all of our guns.

Got one on my Savage BV 22LR. Not a bad scope for the money, but a little fuzzy above 20x magnification. Crosshairs are a little coarse as well. The mil-dot reticle and the clarity are pretty good for the price. You would be hard pressed to get all those features and quality at a better price. I paid $125 BNIB at a gun show this year, and I think I did well.

You will NOT see your bullet holes on a .223 at 400 yards. Sorry, but not with that much money and a variable power scope. If you want clarity and to save money, go to a fixed 10x Bushnell 3200 (like Scott R said), or a fixed Weaver T series scope. This is a better way to go for long range bench rest on a budget. :)

Just my .02.

I have one on my .22WMR and so far I have no complaints. It's pretty decent for the price. Thinking about getting another one for the .17 and possibly the .223.

I have a Bushnell D&D 6x24 on my 7mm rem mag, and it does the job much the same as the 3200 on my 338 ultra or the 4200 series on the 308 Tikka with the short range zero stuff.
Suppose, it depends on personal preference and on the eyesight glass you're comfortable with, whether it's dialed in by clicking MOA or ranging in using Kentucky wind-age ballistic theory. Practice makes perfect and you owe it to your quarry.

I had one on a 22 mag, I sold it with the gun.

I actually like my 6-24x tasco (on my 17hmr) better then that bushnell for almost half the price.

As was said before I found my bushnell blurry in the upper magnifcations.
