I had a 4-12 that has been on a couple rifles so far. It's probably been close to 10 years that I've had it, never had any problems. In low light it's not quite as good as my Leupolds, but very useable.

I have a 4-12 on one of my 22's and have been happy with it. My brother has a tasco on one of his rifles and this is way clearer, especially in low light or fog. In fact, i would say it's closer to my 3200 in quality than it is to the tasco (not the same, though).

I have the 6-18x50mm bushnell banner scope on my Savage Mark II FV (.22LR) and it has been an amazing performer. I think, as far as budget scopes go, you can't go wrong with a Banner.

Awesome, thanks for the replies!
i went an bought 3 today!!

SO SO cheap! hopefully they work fine enough, dont expect them to be like my loopy vx2's but point an shoot in close should be fine..

I have the 1.5-4.5x on my Marlin 44 and I can't complain for $100. I find it quite clear and gathers enough light for early morning or late evening shooting.

+1.... I have one on a Marlin 336 .30-30 and another on an 1895 in .45-70.

I think the econo scopes of today are light years ahead of the econo scopes of 10-20 years ago & before.

NAA.

I have a banner on my .223. I use elites for anything with higher kick. I think the price difference of $90 for the banner to $190 for the elites 3200 is worth the extra money. That said, the Banner seems to be holding up okay on the .223.

Look up the Redfield Revolution 3X9X40 for 175.00 excellent scope made by Leopold and they will take big recoil, put one on my African 375 Ruger and after 70 shots no signs of weakness, i blew a couples of scopes on that rifle... One Conquest (15 shots send back for warranty still waiting for replacement ) and one 3200 3X9X40 ( 5 shots send back for warranty and they did send me another one ,still in the box ) the Redfield i think is a better scope than the 3200 serie clarity is better and it is taking all the punishement ... JP.

They have a Dusk$Dawn line for BP and shotguns too ,anyone knows if they'll stand up to the recoil ?

I put the 1.5-4x Shotgun/BP model on my TC Impact, I will find out once I actualy shoot it.

It's hard to justify a $250+ scope for a $250- gun, and the Banner seems better than the "package" gun sopes.

Hard to justify you are right but that scope at 250.00 could find its way to on a more expensive rifle after proven performances... JP.
