Wondering if anyone has tried the Bushnell dual plane scope. Whenever I look for reviews on it all I come up with are either the FFP or SFP versions. It seems like this would be a solution to the problems that those scopes have.

Thank you for any information.

The dual plane refers to being able to switch between a regular ranging reticle or a red dot. There are only FFP and SFP versions.

Thank your for the reply but based on my understanding this is not exactly correct. The Bushnell DFP scope has a ranging reticle in the FFP and then a red dot in the SFP - hence the dual focal plane. From what I have seen the red dot remains the same size throughout the zoom range.

See http://bushnell.com/tactical/rifle-scopes/elite-tactical/smrs-1-6-5x-25mm for more details. Weaver and Burris have something similar.
