Hey guys.

Looking for some other views on the Bushnell Elite 3200 to be used on a Tikka T3 Lite .223. Will be mostly used for shooting Coyotes and other small predators. Any idea if I'm choosing the right scope or not?? Don't really have a lot to spend on one right now so am trying to get the best bang for my buck.

Thanks

For the price the 3200 is a decent scope. Many people, including myself no longer buy Bushnell due to the warranty service. Many people here have been commenting on how horribly long it takes to receive warranty work.

There are other choices for around the same price, and many people will key in on their personal choices. For around the same price, I prefer my Burris FF II over my 3200 for clarity especially in low light situations. Many people have also been praising Vortex.

Do a search on scopes, there are many threads on this subject that will help you out.

If I was looking to save a buck or two, I'd be looking at the lesser lines from Bushnell. Most varmint hunting takes place in good light, not early or dusk. Recoil from 223 is light, I would think a Dusk to Dawn Banner in 4-12 would do you just fine, what are they $149.99. 3-9 Trophy's are a fine scope for the money $115.00 or there abouts.

How much Coyote hunting do you do in low light??
No doubt that Bushnells warranty depot is busy, I have several of them from $49.00 to $400.00 and I've never needed the repair facility. FS

I put a Mueller APV 4.5-14x40 w. AO on my 223 bolt action rifle and I like the scope. It was around $200 bought from Whitefall Sales, has a local rep here in Winnipeg, and a lifetime warranty. Its bright and crisp and is a decent scope for the money. Comes with a sunshade that has proved usefull.

I run the 3200 in 3-10x40 on my .308. For the $250 I paid new-in-box, I can't complain. So far it's been easy to zero and has remained true.

I just put a 4200 on my 243 coyote gun. A new 4-16x40 for $400, It is a great scope & very clear. The people I talked to before I spent the money all were happy with the Bushnell. A 3200 was on Mystics gun when he shot his 223 1 mile. Good lucj. AJ

Thanks guys.

Thinking about what was said here to help me. I do have a Bushnell Trophy 3x9 on my Ruger 10/22 that I can use and just replace it with a .22 rimfire scope for like $50 to put back on the Ruger. I think that's what I'll do for my situation.

Thanks guys
