I have an Elite 4200 6x24 and got in a weird situation this weekend. I usually shoot 168gr with my Remmy 700 .308. For some reason Higginson was out of stock so i bought some 155 Amax since i wanted to try them out in my M305 anyway. When i tried them in my Remington i was hitting about 5 inches too high at 100yds. I tried to correct and go down on my scope but I ran out of clicks before i could come that low
When shooting my 168's i was somewhere like 20 clicks before bottoming out. Is that normal? Do i have to buy different mounts because i want to shoot 155's in both rifle? I'm going back to 168 anyway for the Rem but was wondering if a lighter bullet always causes those problems? Thanks
