bushnell elite 4200 vs mueller 8.5x22 eradicator

Guys: i need some honest opinions here. is the bushnell 4200 6x24 incredibly brighter than the meuller 8.5x22.all things considered both 42mm objective.wholesale sports in wpg. is having an incredible grand opening this fri. and sat. elite 4200 6x24 a.o. for $509.00 + tax or $275.00 for the meuller.the thing is i have not looked thru a mueller and am relying on your input.HELP!!HELP!! WHAT TO DO

Go for the 4200- the glass doesn't come near with the eraticator, the center is clear but edges fuzzy, a couple of positives for Mueller Eraticator are the mechanicls are very positive & repeatable & the reticule I just plain love it for long range gopher shooting (400 yds or so)
You get what you pay for!

I've heard great things aobut the Muellers, but honestly haven't been that impressed with them. The mechanicals are great and repeatable, but the optics seem dim and 'un-crisp' to me. I'd put them somewhere between the Bushnell Banner series, and the 3200 series.
