Good day!

Looking for opinions or suggestions on which of these would be the better optic to mount on my Savage 10TR in 308. I'll be punching paper with it mostly, may take it hunting a few times for deer, but otherwise just at the range.

I am hoping eventually to get out to 5-600 yards with my rifle, as I'm just starting to dabble in long range-ish shooting.

I have both of these available to me used at the same price($400), which is about the most I want to spend at this time.

Any help in making my decision a little easier would be awesome! Thanks :)

I'm a cautiously optimistic fan of the Bushnell 6500. I think both of those scopes are built in the same Japanese plant by LOW, so I doubt you can go too far wrong.

I have the Vortex Viper 6.5-20x50 and I also have the Bushnell 6500 2.5-16x42. Both are comparable, I just trust the Bushnell a little more for knocking around although I feel the viper has a little better clarity as you go up.

Thanks all for the replies. I'm going with the Bushnell, just waiting to meet up for it tomorrow.

Just ensure that you will have enough adjustment on the elevation on the Elite. I have an Elite Tactical and a Vortex PST and that Elite(tactical) doesn't have enough adjustment to dial up long distance come ups.
