Bushnell Elite 6500

Hey I just got a 7mmRUM and I was looking to put a scope on it and came across the elite 6500. Im looking for a scope that will be able to reach out from 100-500 yards. Would the 4.5-30x50mm be a good selection? What are everyones thoughts on these scopes. They seem to be decent for the price.
 
30x might be overkill for 500 yards, but I don't shoot at that so someone else can chime in. Bushnell does have a rebate on if that helps your decision.

Weed man, I have a elite 6500 4.5-30x50 DOA 600 on my 257 weatherby magnum. I also have a 7mm RUM in a custom sendero that I will be buying another 6500 for. I am in the open praires and I don't think in my personal preference that there is such a thing as to much magnification. And if it is to much,you turn down the magnification.
