For the Elite Tactical 34mm tube shooters - How do you like the scope and what reticle are you using? Have you had a chance to compare it to an equivalent Nightforce?

I've been looking at Nightforce and S&B but for the money, the 34mm Elite Tactical is a serious consideration. G2DMR reticle looks interesting

I have had my Bushnell ERS Tactical to the range 3 times now, and am happy so far
Sighting in was easy with the G2 reticle and matching mil adjustments, easy peasy to figure out corrections
No more mil reticle and MOA turrets for me
Seems rugged and heavy enough, I suppose you could always use it as an effective melee weapon if needed
I haven't had a chance to compare it to a Nightforce or S&B, just decided to take the plunge due to reviews I read on it and features offered
Will be trying 300 yds on my next range trip, and definately want to reach out farther
Shooting longer distances will give a much better indication of glass quality on this, and more importantly on my abilities which could use "a bit" of improvement
Got mine from Wantsalls

I sold my Nightforce with some hesitation after switching to the DMR 3.5-21X50 G2DMR. The NF was simply the oldschool mil/moa setup and I'm more interested in an FFP MIL/MIL scope with a better reticle for wind and elevation hold offs, and didn't need the 32x magnification. The DMR is not a better scope, it just has the features I want. Feel and feedback of the NF controls is noticeably better than the DMR, clicks are stiff and crisp, parralax and mag adjustments are very smooth. The DMR is no cheap scope but not quite the same as the NF. Glass is always a tough call. I am extremely picky with clarity, resolution, brightness and contrast. Cheap glass does not interest me. Mid level stuff leaves me unsatisfied regardless of value. I haven't had the DMR out in more poor conditions like heavy mirage, extremely bright sun and low light to really compare to NF however in good lighting conditions (where differences between brands are least prominent) I'm satisfied with the glass. The eyebox is generous even at max magnification. For the use I want to get out of it, its better suited than the oldschool setup NF it replaced however I feel a similarily equipped NF would outshine the Bushnell in all the little ways that seperate high end scopes. That is, of course, expected with the huge price difference. For what I paid, what I got and how it performs I dont see anything other than an epic deal on a $2500+ FFP NF replacing the DMR on my rifle. DO IT!

I have the ers with the tremor2 reticle. Can not give you a comparison to a NF,but will say the turrets track true and consistent. At 10 mils per rev I don't get lost when dialing in.the horous type reticle is great for aiming off.The retcle you're looking at,seems to be the most popular as it's less clutered. They are definitely one of Bushnell's high end scopes and worth the money.

Great feedback. I was hoping to hear that its twice the scope the NF is for half the money :d

Sounds like a decent scope for a target rifle though...dont plan on jumping out of helicopters with it and probably wont need to make any critical shots in low light

For the money its the best optic out there. I have it on my T3 Varmint .223 and a Swarovski Z5 3.5-18 on my .204 and its every bit as clear during daylight. The G2 reticle is one of the best...perfect thickness and just enough hash marks that its functional but not cluttered. My only issue is that rings are like $250 for the thing vs $100 for 30 mm optics
Buy it and you wont regret it...if not happy they sell very quick on the EE here.

Cheers!!

Best $$$ value for the quality of scope. It is mounted on my AI, and I love it...very accurate dialling, and the G2DMR reticle is simple and very effective.

G2dmr on mine as well. Got a good deal on it and bought it for a build, it wasn't what i wanted (really want a nightforce). Then I started using it and love it.

I have HDMR, Horus H-59.
For sure, it's not a Kahles or S&B for optical clarity... but if we compare price point/quality - it is very good choice.
