Does anyone have any experience/feedback with one of these rifle scopes? http://www.bushnell.com/getmedia/b20ec359-958e-4515-a9c1-e3da9451deff/ET5154-lg.jpg?width=800&height=800&ext=.jpg I'm just wondering if it might be a half decent scope for long range shooting. They are available in Canada for around $400.00.

The reticle in that scope is quite thick. That makes it a little difficult shooting it at longer ranges, as it covers up quite a bit of the target. I would recommend going with the Bushnell Elite Tactical 10x40 (ET1040). You'll save yourself over $100 that can be put towards ammo or some quality rings. The 10x40 is an excellent scope, definitely an over achiever in that price range. I've shot out to 500 yards with the one I own with no issues. Here's a picture of some sunny d bottles @ 500 yards. Picture taken with an Iphone.

Been using it on my .308 for a couple years, great scope no complaints. I ve used it out to 500 yards. Hard to find scope covers as apparently a weird eye peice size.

OP, care to share (or PM) your link for these scopes for sale & in stock around the $400 mark? Everything I'm seeing is closer to $550.
Thanks!

I've got one on my M305 (made in Japan) and quite like it. I hear what 1Shot is saying about the 1040 but I'm shooting Norinco ammo out of a Norinco rifle so I'm not super concerned with laser crosshairs. If I get within a few inches at 500 meters, I'm good...
