Bushnell Elite Tactical G2DMR FFP 6-24x50mm?

Hi,

I just picked up a new rifle, a custom Remington 722 with AICS stock, and a HEAVY (1.2" 8 flute SS) barrel. Well, after buying this bench pig, I realized I would need something new scope wise.... I was looking for something decent, and looked at NightForce, S&B, US Optics and Vortex Viper's in FFP. I ALMOST bought a Nightforce 8-32x56 here, but at the last second seen it had the NP-2DD reticle! Damn! thats the LAST reticle i'd want in such a scope... (I have no idea why they even came up with that one?)

anyways, the S&B, and US Optics were just out of my range, and I couldnt find the right NF at this time, so I went in a direction I never thought i'd go.... Bushnell. I seen the G2DMR reticle, and did some research, and settled on the Elite Tactical G2DMR FFP 6-24x50. Im wondering if anyone here has one of these, and what your opinion is concerning the glass quality vs. the big names, and the reticle? did i make a decent choice? I seen the price in Canada for this scope to be in the 1100.00+ range, but managed to get it for just over 800.00 total price, so I certainly paid 1/2 of what I was prepared too. Im just hoping I didn't cut too many corners with this purchase, and sell myself short?

anyone here have one? and this is what i'm mounting it on... (picture is from the previous owner, so I didnt get the optic shown with it, but it has a nightforce 20 moa rail)

i have the elite tactical with 3.5-21 with the g2 reticle. love the reticle and the glass is awesome. i was actually really impressed with my scope nice clean glass, except at 21x. shes bets alittle hazy but im usually on 18 or lower, its pretty much the same as yours just mines a brick lol. i found with bushnells higher end stuff your getting good stuff.

hey, thats taht new stock mystic is selling, eh? looks good! well, I can barely wait to get my new bushnell, im just wondering what kind of rings to get.... im thinking the six hole Burris tactical rings (the same ones he had on it!). I just don't know if I should get the low, or the medium, as to clear the barrel?

This is a decent scope for the money. If you purchase the scope, be mindfull that there is a fifty dollar mail in rebate until Dec 31/13. Pm me if you need a form. The only issue I have with the 30mm elite tactical line are the turrets, they sometimes do not properly lineup with the markings on the scope body.
