I'm looking at scope options and I see you can get this one with a horus h-59 in the states though some sites say SF plane and some say FFP. I'm curious how they compare to other glass in the same field, seems like you get a lot of bang for your buck on this one.

This will be going on a sako trg-42.

Great scope for the price. Step down to the 3.5-21 and the price is even better. These are all FFP with the SF(side focus). Very positive reviewed by many top pro shooters in the US. I was very sceptical about Bushnell scopes, having had some bad experiences with their elite series kept me away for many years until this line came out. I picked one up after reading all the positive reviews...very pleased. The glass to my eyes is very good, comparable to my Nightforce. The elevation and windage adjustments on the one I have are very precised.
This scope is gaining popularity with some of the top tactical competitive shooters in the us.

I have one as well. It is a very nice bit of gear but only if you don't need it to focus below 75yards. That is the one thing that sucks on this! Great for a long range scope but at 4x the short game is SOL because of the focus limits. Way better than the Elite 6500 series and I like those too :D

Ah so that's what they were meaning "SF" side focus, good to know.

Yeah looks like good value all around, I'll have to keep my eye out for the model I want.

I spent considerable time at the Bushnell booth, specifically because guys I respect suggested I consider adding the Elite Tactical line. I was very impressed with every aspect of these scopes, and at under $1,500, the DMR 3.5-21x50mm is tough to beat. For a bit more, you can get the HDMR in either black or FDE, with the Horus H59 or Tremor2, and zero-stop. At about $2,000, you can get the 4.5-30 or the 1-8.5x24 (which is a sweet offering on its own). A solid line-up of quality, tactical scopes, at great price points.

Needless to say I've added Bushnell to the lineup (I'll also be carrying their 1-mile rangefinders and Equinox night vision monoculars) and will be posting listings (and deals) on these products very soon. I should have inventory inside of 4 weeks.

trg-42 and a 30 power scope, I suspect a 338LM and long-long range
how far do you want to get?
this scope has ony 50 moa vertical adjustment this means if you already have to dial up 30 moa just to zero at 100 yards, you have only 20 left to get farther up
first thing to do when choosing optic, would be to know how far you want to shoot, and how much corection you ned to get there.
then, a proper canted base or mount to get the max of your scope internal adjustment

It has a total of 26 mils(published) of elevation travel, my has 32.1 mils total (115.5 moa). On my 308 set up, it sits on a 20 moa base and zeroed at 100m, I still have exactly 23 mils left. To get out to 1000m, I need 12 mils. That still leaves me 11 mils, and I still have the recticle on top of that.
You will be fine out to a mile + on a 338 lap set up.

Apparently for some reason, Bushnell published data is not very accurate. On Sniper's Hide forum, there are guys that have anywhere from 33 mils to 33.9 mils of total elevation travel.

I read somewhere a few guys have 28 mils and if your getting 33 even better. I already have a 45 moa/13 mil base with a near alpha mount ready to go, I just got to figure out what scope to get really. As how far I like to shoot, target shooting I like to try over 1000m and I'll probably take this hunting next season as well. Yes it's a 338LM.

If you are looking to go with FFP and Mil/Mil scopes in the $1500-$2200 range. Also check out the new Vortex Razor HD gen II and the Burris XTR II. Mind you, you might have to wait a bit longer. These will not be out til spring(in the US), who knows how long til we see them here. Another one is the IOR. There is a dealer out in the east that brings these in. Very nice scope, not sure about the Warranty though.
I am very impressed with my Bushnell DMR. I am contemplating of getting another to replace my NF. But I think I'll wait and to see what the Razor and the Burris are like.

The razor has me interested just no h-59 reticle that I like to try out and who knows when they will come out. Plus on the website the price is much higher then what they say they would be?? I never looked into the Burris before. One of my buddies has the HDMR, I thought it was pretty nice for the price.
