I was doing a Walmart stroll late the other night and came across the Bushnell Equinox NV in the Outdoor/Sports Section for $239.00!! Pretty sweet price I think. I googled for reviews and didn't find any that were negative. It's also not ### looking like the other cheap ones I've seen (Night Owl).

Figured I'd post in CGN and see if anybody here is using it and also to let everybody know you can get Bushnell NV for a real decent price. Bushnell claims the range is +650'.

For me it would be real handy this fall when I'm at Hunt Camp for Moose and stumbling into my watch in the early morning.

Personally I find Gen 1 to be more dangerous in the woods then just letting your eyes adjust and going from there, or using a very dim red flashlight.

NV doesn't start getting terribly useable until you hit Gen3.

I have the 4x40 version. Here's a quick YouTube video I made awhile back... I had to use my digital camera to video this as I don't have a recorder for it but you get the idea. Has both green and black/white. It was pitch black out in our backyard, no lights... just the use of the built in IR. Video was a distance of about 15 yards. All we heard was the soft moans and purrs coming from those two... LOL!!!

The actual NV viewing screen is rectangle not round, the round image is from my digital camera

I bought a set of Tenergy rechargeable RCR123A batteries for it.

The only thing I don't like is I have to focus... wish it was 1 or 2x and fixed focus.

If your continuously moving about in the woods I'd go Laser Genetics but if your stationary the Equinox is good.
