I'm hoping someone with one of these scopes might be able to help me troubleshoot an issue I ran into tonight while shooting. The last time I shot was at 500 yards and I dialed up on the scope for that range. I left the rifle doped for 500. Tonight I was shooting at 100, and when I tried to return the rifle to 100 yard zero it stopped at 1.5 mils up. I don't know what my zero stop was set at but it was at least a few Mils under my 100 yard zero. Has anyone ever had their zero stop slip on one of these scopes? Any info would be appreciated.

I haven't had mine slip, but I have had one huge PITA trying to set it. I was very close to boxing it up as I thought I had stripped something, or something was buggered. I eventually got it.

Not trying to be captain obvious here, but you're certain you had it zeroed at 100 before?? And now is it shooting 1.5mil high, or is it just the turret stopping at 1.5??? Question being if it's the ZS that moved, or it the turret slipped???

Yeah it is extremely convoluted to set. I was zeroed at 100 for sure. The turret stopped at 1.5, and it was shooting exactly 1.5 high, so I don't think the turret slipped.

Hmmmm.....sounds like you tested everything that I would've.

I suppose at this point I'd reset it, try it again, and hope for the best.....all the while knowing in the back of my mind that it's likely gonna have to go for a repair visit.....

That's the same conclusion I came to. I am going to shoot an email to Bushnell in the meantime and see if they have any insight. Thanks for your input gunneegoogoo.

Following accuracy tech's directions I reset and then set the zero stop tonight after re- zeroing the rifle. I shot a group, cranked up all the way through the elevation range and then back down. Shot another group and did the same again. NO ISSUES. Hopefully it's good now. If any more problems occur I'll send it to Bushnell and update the thread.

Glad to hear!! Keep us updated.

Glad you got it sorted out. I can dial mine pat zero by 0.2 mil but it's not worth the hassle of trying to reset it!

I like it way better than the turrets and stop on my old Vortex Viper PST. I have seen a few of the turret caps slip when they hit zero. Then you're pretty pooched as your zero is gone.

Did you guys get yours PlainSight Solutions? He had the best prices and the best service. I would definitely get another optic from him.

Not meaning to hijack but while there is a thread going on about the Bushnell ERS,

Did anyone else feel a little gouged about the price jump between the HDMR and the ERS? I didn't want to get a scope without a zero stop and 10 mil turrets but those two features were $500! I was even given a heads up buying it to make sure I wanted to pay the extra money and not get the same glass with 5 mil turrets and no zero stop.

I really like the scope though.

I didn't know any different when I got mine, so no.

Bushnell's naming system certainly isn't easy to follow, that's for sure. XRS, ERS, DMR, HMDR, blah blah blah

Just a joke. It's a running gag in the dealer forums to ask if every product they announce has a chrome line barrel. :p
