Hi all, wondering if anyone had any first hand experience with the 3-12 non illuminated model of this scope.
Curious if the reticle is useable for hunting at low magnification.
Thanks

I had the exact same one on my 308 hunting rig for a couple of years. Worked perfectly and built like a tank. For the money, you get a lot of scope.

I don't have direct experience with the LRTS but I had a LRHS which is the same scope but with a different reticle that has the "donut of death reticle" that is clearly visible at low power.

Thanks for all the replies. An ATACR is out of my budget so this looks like a good option that ticks off a lot of boxes for me.

They are very good scopes, hard to beat at the $1000 mark. I prefer the LRHS in 3-12 and the LRTS in 4.5-18. The UNILLUMINATED LRTS reticle is a little finer, which works better at high power. The LRHS reticle is a tad thicker, and the outer bars are totally opaque giving the eye a really good impression of where the crosshairs are even if you can't see em.

Bad pic, I know but might illustrate my point?

IMO it depends where and how you hunt. The non-illum LRTS reticle is quite fine, nice for precision shooting, but easy to lose on dark targets in lower light.

I prefer the G2H in the 3-12 LRHS for hunting.
