Bushnell Scopechief VI Quesyion

I bought a Scopechief VI WideAngle at an auction...has no markings other than wide angle...40mm both ends...no ability to adjust variable...what is this scope and what is it for?

its probably a fixed power then

most common size i've seen is fixed 4x.

also, is there no writing on the bottom of the scope tube, about where the rear ring would be, just ahead of the rear eyepiece?

OK, it sounds like a fixed 4x scope. They were supposedly a good one in their day, top of the line Bushnell at one time. Good medium range hunting scope, I have a 4x on a .308...

should be just fine, i have a 1.5 -4.5x32 banner on my .22, you don't always need a 24X to get the job done
