Does anyone one of these that were sold about 2 years ago? These came with the german #4 reticle. I could be off by a number or two in my descriptions... but i remember SIR had these on sale for $150 (give/take abit) about 2 years ago. Curious as to how people liked them.

No experience with that particular model but I've owned Trophy series scopes in the past. Nothing wrong with them. They seem to be good value for the money. Only minor criticism is that they have a short tube, so you usually have to use extension bases to be able to mount them in your rings & still get adjustment in terms of the eye relief. Other than that I'd use one again... ;)

I had a peek at one a little while ago at S.I.R and thought it was pretty good for the price but when I asked about the German#4 reticle the guy behind the counter looked at me as if I was on drugs or something till I should him what was written in the description. He then told me they didn’t have that reticle and came with the regular cross hair. These scopes come on special every once in a while...

I had one for about 6 months that I just sold. The sale was by no means because I didn't like the scope; I just ended up with a different rifle with different scope needs/wants, and saw no point in leaving this one laying around to collect dust.

Here's what I can tell you about the scope:

In terms of features for the money, it's an excellent deal. Scopes with a 1.5-6 or similar range of zoom which also have a large objective lens, and 30mm tubes are dang expensive. Even Tasco's Titan series 1.5-6 is more expensive than one of these Bushnell's by a significant margin. So, I rank the overall value of the features vs money very well on these.

With the large objective lens and 30mm tube, this scope gathers a LOT of light, which makes the image brighter than most of the other Bushnell Trophy stuff I've looked through - though not crisper. The overall image clarity is only on par with other Bushnell Trophy scopes - certainly good, but not great. Also, due to big objective and large tube, the huge exit pupil makes the eye relief seem twice as big as it really is.

The scope was not blurry; though at high zoom the 'crispness' diminished noticably.

Scope held zero just fine for all the use I put it through (which was not all that heavy - maybe around 60 rounds on a .303 British, and 40 on a .308). The adjustments did 'stick' a bit, and needed a round or two to settle in after adjusting (ie: I would dial down 2 inches, and the next round would be 6 inches wild, but the following round would be down exactly as dialed). Otherwise, the adjustments seemed to be spot on at 1/4 MOA.

I never got that far, but I bet if you took a bit of visual checking, you could end up using the recticle for a reasonable rangefinder (much like some duplex-type recticles can be used).

Anyway, not sure what else I could comment on. Great inexpensive scope for a close to medium range rifle (especially a short/fast handling bush/truck gun) - probably not so great a scope for a target or longer range gun or other high end/hard abuse uses.

Here's pic's of mine for anyone someday looking this up for info purposes:
