Bushnell Trophy, 2-6, 73-2632...opinions?

Goodday all,

I was hands on with a good friend of mine's rifle yesterday, and he had a really nice little optic on it, now, looking at my thunder-stick for chasing deer, I'm leaning towards putting a scope on it too.

I'm looking at at the Bushnell Trophy, 2-6X, due to it's extended eye relief.

I intend to mount it on my dad's old No 1 Mk. III (which is already a cut-down) so the long eye relief is important (I intend to use the existing rear sight as the mount for the optic).

Over to anyone here for comments, but I'm also looking to see if there's something similar on the market that would be appropriate....

Here's my criteria:

Long eye relief
Low power (2X)
Price ~ 200-ish

Variable power is a desireable option, but not a deal breaker

i have a trophy 2-6 power bushnell on a .17hmr Ruger hunter Single six revolver and i am happy with it, mine is not an IER scope...it is a pistol scope and it's eye relief is at an honest"fully ext. arm length" and would be wrong for use on a rifle. For a rifle one needs an IER(intermediate eye relief) scope.
