So I got one of these NIB on the cheap for ####s n giggles, haven't mounted it yet as I'm not sure I like it. I was playing around with it this aft and evening, its very clear, very beefy and solid scope, great low light optics, I like the 4a reticle.
But on the lower powers, there is a very weird effect when scanning around with it. Like a fish-eye effect or some####....like things don't move smoothly from edge to edge, its very clear when I have it still, no distortion I can see anywhere in the field of view when static. Just when scanning the outer edges seem to move faster then the center...maybe because its a wide angle scope? I dunno....but its distracting as hell!
It's barely noticeable at 6x which is good I guess. Anyone experience this or have one of these with the same issue?

Yeah....it will be going back. Despite the pluses, I can't get over that effect. I like the power range, was going on a bush gun. I'll save some pennies and get something higher quality....

Yeah, XLT, new from Cabellas. Made in Korea, like a lot of the line...first one I had a problem with and I'm a fussy ##### :)

Mine's made in Korea, too, but the Trophy XLT now is priced lower than mine was back then. I'll bet they cut the price by cutting the quality rather than the profit margin.
