Hi

Recently purchased a bushnell trophy 1.5-4x42 shotgun scope sight unseen of this site. Arrived this weekend and ive noticed that the outside edge of the viewing area are not in focus with the center. The center is clear and crisp, but outside edge all the way around is distorted abit. The scope is made in Korea, not japan. Does or did anyone else have the problem with the trophy line of scopes? Also... the ring that replaces the end glass looks like it has been removed for some reason as the paint is wore off the two ring grooves. The ring is marked " Bushnell high contrast ". Is this what comes on the trophy scopes? or maybe im wondering if this might have been a warranty fixup with parts from another line? Curious as ive only seen one other scope that was blurred like this and it was a cheap ass Fitco scope.

Return it to the seller for a refund if possible...they are "alright" scopes, not great by any means......I've had half a dozen of them..all were clear around the edges,no cloudiness or distortion...maybe ya just got a bad one...dunno

Yes... seller gratiously offered to exchange it for another new one. Very professional of him. I was only asking the question from above to see if other trophy scopes have or have had the same issues? I purchased a cheap ass fitco from a so called repectible seller here some time ago who did not offer to refund the selling price even though he didnt disclose the reason he was selling was because looking through that scope was like looking into a fogged up mirror. Totally useless. Now... this seller of this trophy i cant say enough good about him. Im sure the new one will be distortion free. :dancingbanana:

Right on...glad to hear it.....I've only used them on light recoil rifles and they seemed to be perfectly fine....243,308 260 etc....again,not the best scope, but we all don't have hundreds of dollars laying around either;) ...and as far as the Fitco, now ya know first hand that there is always something worse out there ya could be spending all the hard earned cash on:runaway:

I've had two, the first one would move POI on my 30.06 with normal reloads. Sent it back twice. Nothing changed the first time, the second time I got a new one. This one's been great SO FAR!!!

Have shot a trophy 4-12x for about 5 years on a Browning .270. For 269.00 it is a scope you can use in the woods and not worry about scratching. If only it had just a little more eye relief but that's why it's affordable.

I have a 1.5-6x44mm Trophy (30mm tube) and the image is clear right to the edges. It's the only one of anything from Bushnell's Trophy line that I have looked through.
