Im thinking of purchasing a Bushnell Trophy XLT 3-9x50 to put on my 17 HMR. Ive read some reviews on cabelas and bass pro about this scope. Ive heard pretty much just good things. Id like to here from anyone out there who owns one whether or not its a good investment. From what Ive heard so far its worth every dollar its listed for. Some of the reviews were saying guys had them mounted on their 300 win mags and 308's. Im thinking of getting a .223 in the near future. Would it be a bad choice to put on there as well? Wouldnt be for anything crazy just 200 to 300 yard shots max. I was thinking about getting a Bushnell 3200 but at 200 bucks less I'm hoping the XLT will do what I need it to do.

I just bought a Bushnell Trophy XLT 4-12x40 and mounted it on a axis .223 works great nice and clear.
I also bought a 'Bushnell Banner 17 Super' 4x12x40 for our Savage 93R17 btvs and Happy with both for around the $200. Range

I ended up buying a Bushnell Trophy XLT 3-9x40 in the DOA 600. I have to say for the price of 169 bucks I am pretty satisfied. It did come with Butler Creek flip caps and added bonus but they do also add the cost of those into the overall total of the scope. Overall I cant complain at 9x power its still super clear and does everything I need it to do. Cant complain good scope for the money.

I have one mounted on my Savage 50 cal inline. It generates a very substantial recoil with the 300 gr bullet and smokeless loads pushing it over 2000 fps. No scope issues what so ever. It's a very clear scope.
