Bushnell warranty experience

oh no always official export/import license but sometimes they are not willing to fix thing ... one of the gunsmith we had here had issue with scope and sights bought here sent by lgs and they didnt want to touch it ... again in Oregon with the proper papers it was done ...

to each his own and we had once a year western rep from Leupold Korth that visited us ....

Hi , I also have had great service with Bushnell for warranty work. Great turn around time.

I guess you don't want to bring it in the back door, then expect the people you by-passed to help you. Try it with Nightforce, electronics or just about anything else.

well when i buy Leupold and one was coming from Europe it is always legally purchased ... Leupold is so proud of international warranty ... i had guys here that Leupold korth didnt want to touch while bought in Canada ... the german warranty center is fixing without asking proof of purchase and korth tried their way and they had to reverse their decision ...

they were not able to fix 3 scopes for me: 1 bought in Germany, 1 bought in USA and 1 in Canada ... make your own conclusions on different way of buying materials but what i know is Leupold USA is standing back for their product not Leupold Canada.

i have another Leupold to be fixed and i will send it to Oregon while bought in Canada ... to each his own ...

for Nightforce: i do not know and never dealt with their warranty. i sold a lot when they were built in Japan ... same location at the time as Bushnell and Sightron ...

The legality of the import is not the issue. Korth is an importer who negotiated the exclusive authorized distribution rights for the Canadian market, partly because they set up the warranty centre. Some large retail chains, some small ones and plenty of
of individuals decided to deliberately bypass the importer, who responded by only fixing the ones they brought in. (And everything before 2010) That was supposed to be all of them.

I have an old Bushnell Banner from way back probably 2004'ish that still is good as new - purchased another Bushnell recently and the warranty was one thing they mentioned to me about the scope.

I broke the lens on a TRS-25 with flying brass. I told them it was my fault and they repaired/replaced for free.

I prefer to buy Bushnell.

Tried that at the Canadian warranty repair center for Leupold with a "Rifleman 2-7x33" and got refused and had to pay for the repair. Leupolds are supposed to be lifetime warranty. Besides they were arrogant a**holes at the Canadian place to deal with.

The Bushnell scope I sent in to the Bushnell warranty repair center a year or 2 later got repaired free of charge.

Bushnell is much better than Leupold in the warranty repair department.

All else being equal from now on I buy Bushnell. They're just as good if not better.

I have both Leupold and Bushnell scopes.
I have had problems with 3 Leupolds.
They have all been taken care of by Korth.
In my last scope [It was replaced by a brand new one.]
Needless to say I was very happy.
Still a very good Leupold customer.
And I still like my inexpensive Bushnells.

I don't believe that Leupold's warranty covers damage caused by the user. Basically manufacturing defects only unless they have upgraded their warranty in the last while.

funny because all the scopes we are talking came before the ban of 2010 ... your experience and mine differ that is for sure and i can tell you that in one year i dealt with more issues than any other brand combined and we were selling a lot of Leupold ... again the Korth Rep for western Canada heard all the critics we had took the name of the customers with the problems that happened and they never heard back and i was one of them ... i was an hardcore fan of Leupold and had really a bunch of them not anymore because the way i was treated and i had better channel access ...

i have the right to say that i was not impressed by the service of the importer of Leupold for Canada while in the same time nothing to complain about the US real version ...

on Bushnell just a note to tell you about the CS we had a customer that came with a very old pair that was broken from a pack horse while guiding (it was from an outfitter) he got back a new pair of the high end ... that was in one year the only experience with them as all the other products seems to stand despite the bad condtions we can have here ...

I'm pretty certain I'm done with Bushnell unless the few here act up.

Went to the postal outlet to collect my mail and there was a box from Bushnell waiting for me.
Git me arse home awl c'ited and found they dint fix my old gal.
Instead they sent me the current replacement with the DOA witch I wrote in a note to them I
don't want.
Had a DOA in 3200 and while nice clear lenses, don't wish fur image clutter.
Made a call and the gent I spoke to earlier before sending it in agreed on a 2.5-10x40 non DOA
reticulated.
Nudder twenty bucks owt me pawkitt and probably nudder munth of wait time.
Probably going to taws it in the EE and be done with them.

I should of followed me gut and sent it in to Trace.............daggnabbitt.

Lunch bag let down.

And to tawp it awl awff, the box was munched on one corner.
The munched bawx was in a box and the outer bawx was fine.
So I gather a ewwwwwwwwpzs awff the bench........................shhhhhhhhh.
