Has anyone ever seen one of these scope/rangefinder units? I am having a hard time even finding an on-line review of these let alone someone who has ever handled one. I know they look bulky and all but I thought that it just might "fit" the look of a SL8. My only concern is that the optics might not be that clear, as they cannot really spend that much on the glass if there is all that electronics stuff to put in there.

We have 'em in the shop, clear as any other scope, good idea if you can make it all come together when that big buck is runnin' into the bush.

The three companies that have similar scopes are Bushnell, Nikon abd Burris. All appear to have been made in the same plant in the Phillipines, prices rage from $1000 to $1300. Ziess Diarange is completely different and top notch but with a sticker price of $5700.00 (of course mountds are included). Phil.

In response to the lower price offering from Bushnell...Burris is now offered at $995.00 down from $1295.00 we previously sold them at. For comparison the Bushnell is 4-12x40 with mounts to go on to a Weaver style base ($945). There are 10 different target knobs to allow bullet drop compensation for various calibers. Also has mildot reticle and wireless remote switch for activation (comes with a CD). The Burris unit is also 4-12x40 although the object end of the scope is much larger than the Bushnell the lens is the same diameter as the Bushnell (40 mm). The Burris unit has a ballistic plex reticle and also the same remote activation switch. The Burris does not have different target knobs but does have a sun shade (has stick on charts for various calibers to allow for bullet drop calculation). The Nikon unit has not been made available in Canada yet so I cannot give any specific details. The Burris and the Bushnell are about the same performance and feedback has been good on both.
