Bushnell's New R-Series Rifle Scopes

The R-Series rifle scopes give shooters an affordable optic with incredible value for money. Both the R3 and R5 series feature an EXO Barrier™ Lens coating that repels oil, dust, water, and debris. The R3 series offers a great optic for someone who just needs the basics for there hunting rifle with simple bullet drop compensation reticles but is back by a lifetime warranty. The R3 is available in a centerfire or rimfire configuration. The R5 series offers better lens quality for better light transmission, has available illumination, and side focus. Also available as a 1-6x24 LPVO. The R5 series are also backed by Bushnell's lifetime warranty.

Any idea how these compare to other Bushnell offerings? For instance is the R3 a replacement for the Trophy XLT line? Seems to be priced about the same?

Not sure if they will be discontinuing those other lines but from the looks for the price points, it looks like the R3 is a replacement of the Banner and Trophy XLT while the R5 is a replacement of the Prime and Engage.
